On the hike, those who hike are treated to some of the best views of the Langtang Himal range, such as Langtang Lirung and Gangchenpo. Further, they can also visit the traditional villages and get to know about the hospitality and culture of the Tamang people, influenced by the culture of Tibet.
The best times to trek in Langtang Valley.
Spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November) are the best seasons to trek Langtang Valley. Besides, the best part of this trek is that it can be done at any time of the year. In case you want to do a trek but do not want to go for a long time, adventure, thrill, and the beauty of nature but not for long, then Langtang Valley Trek is for you. It's not really something you must do for a few hours, but you will need to be able to walk for a while with the pack.
Preparation and Training
The daily walks are 5 to 7 hours walking through forest, then river gorges and on to open alpine pasture, some steep walks, some gain and loss in elevation which work the legs pretty hard – notably heading up from Ghoda Tabela to Kyanjin Gompa.
The training should begin 1-2 months prior and include cardiovascular conditioning and leg conditioning – hiking, stair climbing, running, and some conditioning exercises for the lower body (preferably with a weighted daypack 12-15kg which reflects the actual conditions encountered on the trail). It's very important to be fast on the trail here, since most trekkers experience altitude for the first time above 3500m, a decent speed is more important than speed itself.

Safety and Support
The most serious threat on the Langtang Valley trek is altitude sickness, as the highest point of the trek is just about 5,000m (above where altitude sickness symptoms commonly start around 2,500m). The path from the Lama Hotel to Mundu and then along is not too strenuous to easily get up and over at a steady rate – don't try to go too fast. It is easier going up, basic teahouse accommodation and shared rooms, and limited food options (other than Langtang Village), be prepared to bring some additional gear and cash in case of delays. Guides are alert to early signs of symptoms, headaches, nausea, or dizziness, and to when to slow up, have an additional day off, or turn back if necessary. In case evacuation becomes necessary, and in the event of such a need, evacuation and support will be easier and more readily available than on more remote trails like Kanchenjunga or Manaslu, as Langtang is relatively near Kathmandu and has an established trail.
Our local guides are qualified and experienced with the trail conditions of the Langtang region, seasonal weather, and pacing, and will make this trek safe for all trekkers of different fitness levels to enjoy the dramatic peaks and picturesque glacier scenery of this valley.
